After three long years of closure we are pleased to announce that Fibber Magee’s is once again open for business.

After much persuasion we have tempted back the original management team of Mr Mark Hutton (General Manager) and Mr Alasdair MacInnes (Executive Chef). These two people formed the core of the management team that originally opened Fibber’s in 1996.

Mark said of his appointment “I am pleased to be back at Fibbers as I have always felt a great affinity with the pub and I am looking forward to re-establishing it as the destination pub that it was when we first opened.”

Fibber Magee’s first opened for business in April 1996 and quickly made a name for itself as a quality pub serving great beer and with a diverse and good quality food menu. It is our intention that this same great atmosphere will be recreated, which is why we were so keen to regain the services of Mark and Alasdair. Ali said “I am keen to once again work alongside Mark at Fibbers as I only have fond memories and I feel that with the extra experience I have gained in Dubai since leaving Fibbers in 1998 will enable me to produce good quality, reasonably priced food.”

Mark was also asked about the management’s plans for the Diamond club upstairs and he said, “we do have some plans for upstairs but our priority is to open Fibbers and re-establish it as the venue that it was when it originally opened. I can however assure you that under no circumstances will we be reopening it as a night-club. We feel that Dubai already has plenty of clubs and we really want to be able to add to the huge variety of good quality establishments that serve good quality food and drink in a very relaxed environment. Under very wise leadership Dubai has become a remarkable place to enjoy yourself out side of work and we want to create a unique experience that will suit nationals, expatriates and tourists.”
